Corundum Fire Brick Description
Corundum fire brick is a kind of aluminum silicate refractory products with corundum to be main crystal phase. Corundum brick with a 99 % Al2O3 content are also resistant at high operating temperatures in CO atmoshperes and hydrogenous atmospheres. They are therefore used in furnaces for the chemical and petrochemical industry under strongly reducing conditions. corundum refractory brick has a high bulk density, fine compressive strength and can serve under high temperature above 1790℃.

Corundum Fire Brick Composition
The main raw material of pure corundum fire brick is fused white corundum sand. The corundum brick we produce are made of pure fused white corundum, synthetic mullite and chromium oxide. corundum is main crystal phase of corundum refractory brick, which contains more than 90 Al2O3. The brick has a stable chemical property, can bear acidic and alkali slag, molten metal and glass. The product can also stand acid and alkaline gas erosion, and will not be affected by H2, CO and other reducing gases.
Classification of Corundum Fire Brick
According to the manufacturing process, Corundum fire brick can be divided into fused corundum brick, fused rebounded corundum brick.
Fused corundum brick is made of industrial alumina and quartz powder, which is processed in the arc furnace by melting, and then through casting, annealing and the final mechanical process, being produced into the required shape and size.
Fused rebounded corundum brick is made from the crushed fused corundum pellet and powder, together with small amount of clay and binder, after fully mixed and then be molded by brick molding machine, and the adobe drying temperature is about 1700 ~ 1800 ℃
